Former President Donald Trump stated on Saturday that the Moscow-drafted proposal for peace constituted not his ultimate proposal, following fierce criticism from Ukraine's officials and commentators that likened it to the 1938 Munich agreement involving Chamberlain and Adolf Hitler.

US and Ukrainian delegates will meet in Switzerland this Sunday to discuss this proposal. Defense representatives from France, Britain and Germany are expected to join the talks there.

Speaking on Saturday, Zelenskyy said that genuine or respectable resolution was always based on "guaranteed security and justice". He revealed a delegation, appointed by presidential decree, that would soon meet its US counterparts in Switzerland, headed by his chief of staff Yermak.

Ukrainian reaction to the text, prepared by Putin’s envoy and Trump’s representative, has been overwhelmingly hostile. Commentators argued it was a blueprint for another Russian invasion: targeting not just Ukraine but other European regions as well.
