Tehran reports attacking a American military facility in Manama, as the country executed operations throughout the Middle East in retaliation for a "massive" and ongoing attack targeting the nation by the United States and Israeli forces.

IRGC Statement

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard said in a statement it was targeting US bases and assets as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the strikes on the Islamic Republic carried out by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday morning.

That US-Israeli operation - executed at around 06:15 GMT - has so far struck sites associated with the Iranian leadership, with US President Donald Trump urging the Iranian people to rise up against the government.

Wider Impacts

In Israel, sirens were heard nationwide after the Israel Defense Forces reported it had identified an incoming Iranian missile barrage.

The defence ministry of the UAE said in a statement that the country has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"UAE air defence systems dealt with the missiles with notable success and destroyed a several projectiles," it added.

Officials reported wreckage landed in a neighborhood in the capital, resulting in some property damage and killing a civilian.

The US Air Force is stationed at Al Dhafra Air Base, to the south of the Emirati capital, along with the Emirati Air Force.
